Do you have a book idea?
The Hein Company’s research and reference tools for law, international relations, political science, and foreign affairs are among our most important contributions to the publishing world. Throughout the years, many of our publications have been adopted for use in law classes throughout the United States and Canada. If you are an author and would like to submit a manuscript or proposal, please fill out this form. In addition, we always welcome suggestions from researchers regarding titles that should be reprinted and preserved for future generations.
Please send suggestions to our Marketing Department.
Be a Pathfinder for Hein’s Legal Research Guide Series
For years, William S. Hein & Co., Inc. has published a series of legal research guides. The pathfinders we include in the series are generally guides written by law librarians in response to their users’ needs or top papers from Advanced Legal Research classes. These guides are usually short, often 40 to 100 pages, and provide an annotated starting point for someone interested in finding more information on a particular topic in legal research. To see sample tables of contents, please click here.
Click here to view a detailed brochure listing the books in the series, which shows the variety of topics that have been included. Generally, we look for guides on subjects of broad, national interest, and especially on “hot topics.” Keep us in mind when a librarian or student produces an exceptional research guide. We also ask that the librarian or instructor provide a brief but substantive foreword to be published with the book. If accepted into the Legal Research Guide Series, we will pay the author a small royalty.
Please contact our Marketing Department if you have any questions or possible submissions.
