John Marshall Law Journal is a semi-annual, legal periodical published at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters. The Journal is staffed by second and third-year full-time law students and third and fourth-year part-time law students. These students receive invitations to join the Journal based on their academic success and writing skills. The Journal provides each member additional educational opportunities by promoting excellence in research, writing, and analytical skills.The Fall issue features commentary on a variety of relevant subjects and is comprised of two sections including Articles and Notes and Comments. The Spring issue focuses on a single, timely area of Georgia Law and includes Articles, Notes and Comments, and Legislation. Members of these sections work cooperatively to further the Journal's mission by creating, editing, and publishing each issue of the Journal.The mission of John Marshall Law Journal is to serve as an informative resource to the Georgia legal community by focusing each issue of the Journal on areas of the law directly impacting the nation and Georgia. Furthermore, the Spring issue operates as a symposium, including an examination of recent and pending legislation, significant court decisions, commentary by students, and contributions by preeminent Georgia scholars and practitioners.
