The American Society of International Law (ASIL) has served as a meeting place and research center for scholars, official, practicing lawyers, judges, policy makers, students and others interested in the use and development of international law and institutions in international law. The ASIL has encouraged a discussion concerning America and its relationship to international law since its inception.
