Buffalo & Erie County Public Library
The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library (B&ECPL) consists of a Central Library, eight branches in the City of Buffalo and twenty-two contracting member libraries which operate twenty-eight facilities outside the City of Buffalo. The libraries serve as centers of information, education, culture and entertainment for the residents of Erie County.
FUN FACT: The library has a special room completely dedicated to Mark Twain.

Charles B. Sears Law Library at SUNY Buffalo Law
Named for the Honorable Charles Brown Sears, the Law Library occupies six floors in the center of the SUNY Buffalo Law School. The Library’s services and research collections are carefully tailored to meet the research instruction needs of SUNY Buffalo Law’s students. The beautiful facility, often referred to as “the heart of the Law School,” provides a comfortable, modern setting that is very conducive to the study of law.
FUN FACT: The Koren A-V Center located in the library is the home to an unusually rich collection of audio and video tapes, which are in high demand for both course review and curriculum enrichment.

Andrew L. Bouwhuis Library at Canisius College
Opened in 1988, the 96,000 square-foot, air-conditioned, three story building can hold up to 700,000 volumes and seat over 500 people. Excellent study and research accommodations are provided by a mix of individual carrels, table seating, and lounge chairs that are positioned throughout the building. The general public seating areas are supplemented by various specialty areas that include: group study rooms; an audio-visual listening/viewing area; a rare book room; a Library Instruction Room; a Curriculum Materials Center; and lounge areas.
FUN FACT: The Library Renovation Project has been going on for several years and is the result of many comprehensive surveys of students and faculty conducted by the Library.

E.H. Butler Library at Buffalo State College
Butler Library is an ideal place for both the serious researcher and the casual reader. The library serves Buffalo State students and members of the faculty and staff with more than a million research materials, including over 675,000 printed books, over 174,000 electronic books, and access to full-text articles from over 57,000 unique print and electronic journals. In addition, the library houses several special collections and the Buffalo State Archives. The library’s Information Commons provides computing support, research assistance, and equipment loan services. The Writing Help Center, located in the library, provides assistance to students throughout all stages of the writing process.
FUN FACT: The E.H. Butler Library is named after Edward Hubert Butler Sr., the founder of the Buffalo News and it was the first building on the Buffalo State campus to be named in honor of a person.
