The IDF Law Review serves as an academic research tool and mechanism to initiate debate and innovative ideas in the fields of Military Law, the Law of War, Operational Law, and Criminal and Constitutional Law concerning military activities. The Review is one of the few law reviews worldwide that is edited by Military Advocate General personnel, together with academic jurists and judges. The 2007-2008 volume of the IDF Law Review opens with a special symposium of short articles dedicated to developments in the subject of teaching the Law of War, which have been written by a number of experts from around the world. Following the symposium, this third volume continues with a number of articles exploring a diverse range of international, constitutional, criminal and civil legal issues relevant to the military context.
